VocalSmarts - provides private voice training for individuals ages 7 and up. We offer private and group lessons. Students perform in one concert in spring, in a fully costumed choreographed musical review. Students in group voice classes are nurtured in performance practices until they are ready to perform as soloists.

VocalSmarts helps students reach their vocal potential through patient coaching and advising. Students are coached in vocal diction, projection,
posture, ear training, sight singing, harmony training, poise, and building repetoire and performance experience. Students are given two
formal recitals within the studio to perform before a live audience with a trained accompanist. Additionally, students are assisted in finding
and preparing for auditions for musical theatre, talent shows, commercials, bands, and other solo performing.

Vocal Programs - among the vocal programs offered are the Music Teachers Association of California, Certificate of Merit Program, VOCE, and The National Association of Teachers of Singing. These professional organizations provide well balanced musicianship building programs
for singers at all levels. Students are expected to follow
through with lesson material at home. All lessons should be taped either with a cassette or video taped.

Voice Overs - many professional singers supplement their income as stage performers, and voice over talents. MusicSmarts offers our students
training in voice over work for documentaries, TV & film commercials. Many of our students cross enroll in voice & acting. With this type of
training they may then submit their resumes and CD's to agencies in San Francisco and Los Angeles, for additional bookings in commercials,
and film.
