New Enrollment Special: new students who enroll and sign a contract for a year of lessons will receive a FREE starter guitar. Special may not be combined with $55 first month special. Do you have a child that would like to learn how to play guitar? They'll be strumming in no time with this fun and informative guitar course. This class will explore the basic fundamentals of how to play this challenging instrument. The class will examine basic chords, strumming rhythms, finger-picking and much more. With practice, your child eventually be able to play simple and familiar songs. No previous knowledge of guitar is necessary. Students must have a guitar in good working condition. We recommend that children are at least 7 years old because it takes a lot of strength in the wrists as well as the fingers to be able to push down the strings. However, if your child is younger than 7 but is persistent in wanting to play the guitar, we recommend that you should ease them into it by introducing the piano first. This really is the best instrument to start on, and it will help your child when they transfer to the guitar. Beginning GuitarSmarts students will study from The FJH Young Beginner Guitar Method and will learn theory, chord progression, sight reading, and how to read guitar tablature. |
