ActSmarts
ActSmarts offers a wide range of acting and theater opportunities for children of all ages. Collaborations include San Francisco Lyric Opera, Golden Gate Opera, Livermore Valley Opera, and The Douglas Morrisson Theatre companies. ActSmarts is a member of Theater Bay Area and American Theater organizations and helps prepare and guide students for acceptance into casting agencies, theater companies, & college drama departments. Private Lessons – are available to students who wish to accelerate their growth in acting. Many of our voice students take private acting in order to audition for staged productions. Students taking private lessons are required to participate in the SmARTSunlimited Talent Show. Private lessons are available to children who are old enough to read independently. Group Acting Lesson – are available to students who wish to work with other actors in a group setting. Classes are an hour in length and a minimum of two students is required to sustain a class. Students taking group lessons are required to participate in the SmARTSunlimited Talent Show. Please check on our schedule for class time offerings. What is covered during lessons? - Memory work is a main stay of an actor’s ability to perform. We help students memorize monologues. |
